This accessibility statement applies to the Llandeilo Town Council website at llandeilo.gov.uk, in English and Welsh.
This website is run by Llandeilo Town Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
navigate the website using just a keyboard
navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We have also tried to make the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
many older PDF documents, such as past newsletters, are not tagged for screen readers, and two 2022 newsletters cannot be read by screen readers at all
many agendas and minutes are Word or PDF files
posts embedded from Instagram are provided by Instagram and include images without text descriptions

Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Technical information about this website’s accessibility
Llandeilo Town Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some PDF documents, including older newsletters, are not tagged, so headings and reading order are not available to screen reader users. Two 2022 newsletters use fonts that screen readers cannot read. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships) and 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). Some PDFs also do not have a meaningful document title (2.4.2 Page Titled).
Many meeting agendas and minutes are published as Word documents. We have not yet checked every one for accessibility.
Disproportionate burden
We are not currently claiming that fixing any accessibility problem would be a disproportionate burden.
Content that is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents: the accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they are not essential to providing our services.
Third-party content: posts embedded from Instagram are provided by Instagram and are not under our control.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This website was last tested on 4 October 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. The test was carried out by Cole Brydson, the council’s website developer.
We tested every page of the website in English and Welsh, using automated tools (axe-core and Google Lighthouse) and manual checks with a keyboard, at mobile and desktop screen sizes and at 320 pixels wide. We also sampled PDF and meeting documents.
